    Hi Dan,

Sorry for the late reply and thanks a lot for the compliments.

I've not moved to Rockbox project and i still want to help whoever is interested in building DSPdap.

    answers to your queries
    1) No there should not be conflicts between SPI flash, Codec and I2C because, I2C is a separate bus. SPI is used only during bootup (GPIO4 high), when Codec is disabled. RN22 isolates Codec and SPI flash data lines. After bootup, GPIO4 must be kept low so that SPI flash remains OFF.

2)If you want to connect HDD then DSPdap 1 schematics may be suitable since it already implements CompactFlash interface using true IDE mode. You will only have to add HDD power supply to tackle the higher power requirement and voltages (depending on HDD type).

3)You can use the free GPIOs from GPIO expander iC U6. There are 4 unused I/Os

Why not join the dspdap member list and remove the silence. ;)

    cheers,
    -roger
