Oops, just change Terminal=True to Terminal=false. Anyway, that .desktop should be included in the source tarball (and not generated from the .spec).

Interesting... When I compiled my own binary (instead of using the one provided on your web site), the crash goes away.

Please include this .spec file for making RPMs. Please put the .spec in the Martian source tarball.
Also, if you want, I can send you the Fedora Core 6 i386 binary RPM.

Martian Memory is installed on our terminal server (Fedora Core 6, Linux 2.6.20). I access the server through various terminals. When I run MM through the normal Linux terminals which sound, MM runs OK. When I run MM through a Windows "terminal" (Xming X11), MM crashes.
Most Linux programs run OK with Xming.
Attached is a detailed crash log.

The /data/ Makefile has a bug where it tries to set permissions, but it ignores the standard variable DESTDIR which is required for RPM building.
Here's an example of how RPM invokes the installation:
make install DESTDIR=/var/tmp/martian-1.2003-1fc6-root-andrewz.
