This project is continued in the JBoss-IDE project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/jboss). The sources are at (/cvsroot/jboss/contrib/jbosside). XDoclet support in the JBoss-IDE is much better then in the docletassistant, I wouldn't use it anymore.

Release of J2EE-IDE
I wish to apologize for the continued postponement of the release. But there is good new, version 1.0 is finished. Yet for a proper release I need some more days and I'm going for my holidays tomorrow until the 3rd of January. I hope you will download it then and enjoy it. I like the stuff. Happy new year Hans

The assistant only works with Java 1.4 +
Sorry, I was to slack in the last month to update the release-notes. Instead I post this information here. The doclet-assistant does not work with Java 1.3 as it uses the regular expressions of Java 1.4. Latter are not just an library to add to an path but are coupled with other new classes introduced in Java 1.4. The soon to come IDE will use oro and therefor is going to run with Java 1.3 as well.
