Hello!
After a brief hiatus in the world of Linux PDAs (Zaurus C760, still doesn't cut it for me), I am back using a WinCE handheld.
I bought a Sigmarion III, running WinCE.NET 4.1. It is an *awesome* device, probably my favorite computer out of any I've owned. It makes a great Jornada 720 Handheld PC successor.
One of the very first apps I tried to get working on my Sig3 was Dialect. It is a very slick setup, and this is coming from a total language snob. :) But unfortunately it didn't work, quitting with a generic error.
Turns out that the only thing I needed was the MFC and OLE DLLs from WinCE 3.0, which I found eventually in the SDK for H/PC 2k. (MFCCE300.DLL and OLECE300.DLL) Now Dialect is working, and working great! I've even got my own little custom spreadsheet app up and running with not one change to my code. ;)
