What's happening?

  • Followup: N64 drive seems to act similarly

    I can get the N64 drive to IAI! as well over gtkterm...now to try to get *meaningful* data from them.

  • Followup: It's been 5 years...but hey.

    I'm getting dex to hang, not read borked data. But I'll investigate. Ubuntu 9.04 just hangs, as does gNewSense 2.2.

  • Followup: Some progress.

    Well I can get the PSX DexDrive to talk to the original software, although I didn't test loading a memory card into the device. I also can get my USB-Serial convertor to talk to gNewSense 2.2, but for some reason the 9.04 box is causing lots of issues. There's also an interesting hang trying to read the port from dex. If I connect with something like gtk-term, I can get IAI! (bad data...

  • Development starting back up

    I managed to get myself a PSX DexDrive off of Amazon.com, so I will be able to properly test for regressions. Things I'm not looking forward to: replacing the shift-jis to ascii code with something from gnu libc.
