The DEX Operating system allows for the dynamic reconfiguration and customization of various system services using concepts found in extensible operating systems. The ultimate goal of this operating system is to achieve zero static inter-module calls.

The source and floppy image of the DEX Extensbile Operating system has been released. This version is basically a bug fix and small enhancement release in preparation for the addition of the TCP/IP stack and the network PCI card drivers. I will aim to port a complete Java VM and J2EE so that we can have the smallest J2EE container enabled OS :) The disk image bundle still contains the Tiny C Compiler and NASM programs for software development under the dex-os environment.
