Destumbler is a Perl application that takes your Netstumbler summary export and parses it into two files (WEP and non-WEP) to import into MapPoint. It also provides summary information like number of nodes, and percentage of WEP devices in the survey.

Destumbler is finally released to the public! It's a great day for network admins and security professionals who are fed up with manually exporting and importing files to produce a map of their findings in NetStumbler. Destumbler is an application written in Perl that takes the summary output of NetStumbler (http://www.netstumbler.com), the best 802.11 site survey tool around, and produces two files -- one for WEP-enabled devices and one for non-WEP-enabled devices. It has built-in error checking to make sure your data is valid and it provides a great summary of your findings, giving number of nodes, percentage that are WEP-enabled, etc. Sourceforge has been great to host this project for us. Please feel free to download and distribute, but do not modify the code outside of normal operation (ie, changing the output file names, etc.). If you have any questions concerning Destumbler, please contact Aaron Conaway (kraken at comast.net). Enjoy!
