deStats is a rather small, fast, and cool IRC Logfile stats generation program. It will eventually become an open source alternative to the existing ones such as mIRCStats, and IRCStats.

  • Platform Change Cancelled

I've decided NOT to create or work on a Windows version of isg, as I don't have enough time to do any of that, it would take too long for me to waste time porting it, I can be doing other things. If you want a win32 version of deStats, I might find some time to create a configuration file and include cygwin.dll or something in it, so the Linux API calls can be used in Windows and it will compile correctly. That's if I get time. Other than that, I want to start my IRC client up; deIRC. I don't know if I'll ever get that done either with my minimal time.

  • destats releases deStats v1.6.0 file released: isg-1.6.0.tar.gz

[v1.6.0] - (01/05/2003) -Changed the "Most Active Times" table: the hours are now back to international/Military time and the bars are a little thinner, as to not take up so much space on smaller resolutions. -Added a "total topics set" at the end of the Topics table. -Fixed a small segmentation fault when processing was finished. However, there's another random segfault; attempting to locate and fix for next version. -WIN32 VERSION CANCELLED -- I don't have enough time to waste working on a windows version of isg/deStats. I will be working on a windows IRC client however, that will tie together with deStats.

  • Platform changes

I have created two separate versions of deStats. One is built in Borland C++ Builder now (not yet released), and I will continue to work on the native Linux version. Updates will be a little slower because of that, but I figured I could make deStats a little more useful and popular if I expanded the platform on which it can be used on. I may create a GUI for deStats/isg Linux (for those of you who have X), and have it an option during compile whether or not to use it. That might take awhile though, it depends on my time. It's almost time deStats becomes its mature form, as I'm getting tired of working on it and I want to find something else to do. I still have a couple updates left in me yet. Once I get a fully stable version of both working, I probably won't release another update unless someone (enough people that is,) requests a cool feature that I think should be in it. Thanks for all of your support!

  • destats releases deStats v1.5.0 file released: isg-1.5.0.tar.gz

[v1.5.0] - (12/19/2002) -Changed the way the configuration file is processed. Config structures are pre-intialized, to allow for infinite line config file, in a "stream" format. -Fixed a table bug in "Daily IRC Activity"; the tables are sized "generally", in accordance with the number of available days for that month. I.e.: proportional to days. -Fixed segmentation fault while using ./isg --help -Fixed a minor quote error; adding an extra space before the ending " character... -Removed old lang_de.h; waiting for a translator to translate the lang.h file on every release, (if it's changed at all). PLEASE! -Added a couple of strings to lang.h; changed some of the error output, and console debugging.

  • Development postponed ...

Read my forum article on why this will be happening. I'm going to be delaying the version 1.5.0 / v2.0.0 development plans and operations, until I have more time.
