  • A very nice music player, but it still can't play multi track ALAC, FLAC and WAVPACK files correctly, the are detected as single files. Please remake to, this one has so much potential
  • A new star among audio players on macOS?
  • It is the best minimal music player and I love it. But i would like to have a darkmode for windows version. And my songs album arts isnt being displayed only few of them are.
  • I really enjoy using this streamlined, restrained and minimalist player. Thanks to the developers for their great work.
  • I like how this player is rather small and supports basic mod formats. I just found it to play XM tracker file. UI dialog is small and nice. It supports 3 needed formats for me - XM IT S3M. Small unhandy behaviour (it can be fixed later?) - a) when I open XM file from Double Commander by association, player opens its dialog but DON'T start playing. b) I must copy binary to some folder, no DEB installer fo Ubuntu. OK thing is that it plays XM files good - I tested on "Emelie by Radix" and sound is good, while some other Linux player made bad-false sound in the middle. App is made by some Russians. They are good in software.
  • Best music player for Linux. I've tried many others, some with more fancy features and pretty GUIs, but keep coming back. It's just so well-behaved and plays virtually anything. The new 1.8.0 version is a winner, and with the newer ReplayGain scanner features I now can use it to more quickly whip those pesky files into shape before adding them to the collection. Musical Spectrum is the best analyser of any player. Thanks devs for your wonderful work!

  • I always like software tools with minimal dependencies on external components. Your player is a best example of such a tool. List of supported audio formats is very large too.

  • great simple player with a lot of features. Only missing a rating feature
  • I have searched for a player like Foobar, and DeaDBeeF is the best choice. There is much to improve, but the customization options are great. Congratulations for the work in this promising software.

  • best audio player on linux! interface is simple and neat, lots of supported formats and stuff.. 5/5!
  • this is my default since i used it.
  • Simply cool.
  • 界面简约、支持的音频文件格式很多。Simple GUI & support many audio file format.
  • Really amazing music player!!! Thanks!
  • This is indeed the ultimate music player for Linux, it has a clean and compact interface, this truly feels like a Linux application, just like foobar2000. I'm really glad.... I wish I had the knowledge to contribute.
  • Compact and convenient GUI, decent functionality. Similar to Windows' Foobar2000, it would be good choice for switchers.

  • I tried it on one of my VPS servers and so far it is very smooth and error-free
  • Love this app
  • Is there a Qt GUI plugin for deadbeef 0.5x?
  • Brilliant! Marvelous! This is the music player exactly what I need. It is even better than foobar2k on handling cue files. But I happen to meet bugs like fail to play ape files or can't exit the program properly in Arch Community repository version(but is ok in AUR). And I'm confused why this masterpiece is not in fedora/ubuntu/debian official repository. It is not convenient to install and update deadbeef in many distributions except archlinux. Anyway it is really great muisc player!
