Data monkey was to be a powerful windows data translation and conversion application to convert complex text file formats, database data, data from custom devices into other formats. I never finished it and was hoping someone would take it over.

It's still incomplete and most likely contains errors, but it'll get you underway. http://datamonkey.sourceforge.net/DataMonkeyDoc.html
The Test Data in the distribution I just threw in at the last minute and now realize it doesn't all work together very well. But if you get an error that doesn't allow you to import you need to do this: 1) Right click on the project icon at the top of the tree (looks like an I for input) and click on the defaults button and remove the "Source" filename and click OK. 2) Right click the output icon. I believe the item is called "Well Information" and select the schema file (test.sch or something) in your DataMonkey/TestData directory for the Output Schema Path. This should be good enough to get you started. The data is still not correct, but it is easy to correct a few things. Some things to look at: Right click on Output icon and select "relationships" to map input to output. Edit Output Schema from the tools menu, or by right clicking in the tree to add new items for output. Right click on the folders in the input tree to add new rows or fields. Selecting file-New Project->Project Wizard will guide you through setup, but it is pretty confusing (and probably buggy) at the moment. Edit Input Schema from the menu option works I think but is kind of an old leftover way of doing things.
