DASM is a macro data assembler, meaning that it assembles binary data, not executable code. DASM supports macros, symbols, and expressions which can be used to extend the basic feature set enough that you can write human readable "code" then assemble it.

    *** IFD DASM (Data Assembler/Macro) Package Release/Version History *** 15-Aug-201 - v3.01 Compiled and tested with v4 of the CW Plugin API (no 68K anymore, not supported) 5-Jun-99 - v3.00 Complete re-write over the course of two years, trying to keep up with the ever-changing and rarely documented Codewarrior plugin API. (problem was with including win/32 .h files instead of MacOS .h files.) 13-Dec-95 v1.00 Initial release to general public. No known bugs, source well documented, etc. etc.
