Hello Chuck,

I patched handler.py as instructed for the log file fix and made the settings mentioned above for lower cpu / memory use. Might be worth changing the default settings in the distribution for log watch interval 10 seconds and process delay 3 seconds. When I used the defaults of 5 / 1 seconds, virtual memory use jumped to ~ 1GB and system load averaged 3.x. With the new settings, system load is ~ .09. Much better result for production machines.

Thanks for a very useful app. I searched high and low for something to monitor dictionary and ssh hacks that worked with IP tables. This is by far the best I found.
