hi,
this is another brainstorming post, i'm currently working on adding "status" to members of partys, these status are usually caused by skills and affect.
Examples of status are:
poison - looses healt continuously while not healed
blind - percentage of hitting another contender is decreased
stone - petrified until heal
chicken - transformed into a chicken!
paralyzed - can't move
terror - can't attack or use skills
regeneration - gains health continuously
haste - contender speed is improved
slow - contender speed is lowered
silence, mute - can't use magic skills
confused - contender acts randomly
berserk - contender attacks without thinking and doesn't obey orders
reraise - contender revives when fallen
If you happen to think of any other, you can contribute to the list. This also can focus atention on new funcionalities required by this status.
