A graphical OS X (Leopard) application used for timing Curling Competitions (Ten End, Mixed Doubles and Wheelchair events). It provides three timers -- one for each team and a timeout/break timer for officials and a trove of timing related features.

CurlingTimer was put to use at the 2009 Regional West Qualifiers at the Granite Curling Club. The application was used by several new timers across many draws. Some feedback was gathered and added to the product over the weekend. The most recent download (0.4) contains all of the updates. We're glad to have had the opportunity to time the games and are thankful for the feedback our timers and Level II officials provided.
Changes in the 0.4 Release Changing timers grabs the current values from the timers Up and down arrow add/subtract 1 minute from the timeout timers Changes in the 0.3 Release Increased timer real-estate. This helps make the clocks more visible from the far end when running on smaller on smaller LCD displays. Changes in the 0.2 Release Set default red, blue with white text for rock timers if unknown. This is particularly important on Tiger which sets the defaults to black on block. Remember value in changing rock timer time value.

CurlingTimer was conceived after I attended a Level I and Level II Curling Official course presented at the Granite Curling Club (http://curlingseattle.org) in Seattle Washington. Like the presenter, I didn't want to use a set of crummy and picky old school clocks. The presenter had a timing application for his windows machine. It's available on his web site at http://www.universeofsynergy.com/curlclock . I don't have a windows machine and don't ever want to have one. Most of the features in both clocks mimic each other. I added a few options to CurlingTimer that will appear in CurlClock. If you're more likely to use a windows laptop, you should get CurlClock, but if you have a Mac, CurlingTimer is the tool for you. CurlingTimer has been used in events in Seattle Washington and may progress forward to higher level events. If you like CurlingTimer or have any feedback, please use the forum here to provide your comments to the developer.
