Starting the GUI with an assignment file ~/.csv2vcard.assignment, breaks the GUI: The vcard fields are all empty and an error message "I have no suitable assignment for your csv file. Please provide a suitable assignment file or use the gui to generate an assignment" is displayed. I created the assignment file using the csv2vcard GUI - hence it cannot depend on the assignment file.

When browsing the internet for a conversion tool of csv files into vcards, I stumbled across csv2vcard which almost meets my needs. I'd like to use this tool together with SyncEvolution (http://www.estamos.de/projects/SyncML/) to synchronise Excel contact lists with my mobile.
However, the two tools are not fully compatible:
a) csc2cards adds a separator to the "Business City" value when...

Likely the last release of 2003 three and maybe the last release for a longer period. After the transition to gtk2 the program now again behaves as it is supposed to. A couple of releases ago the newline bug was finally fixed and since I get very little feedback on the program it might just fall asleep again for a year.

Well, release 0.0.5 brought majour changes and now there are many show stopper bugs. I hope this version is now usable. I hope to be able to make a stable release with 0.1.

Thanks to Olivier Arnaud there's now decent support for french Outlook.
The birthday/annyversary bug and the comma in assignment (e.g. swedish Outlook) are fixed.
Hope you can use csv2vcard.
