Fully automated web installer and updater for Chromium browser.
This utility helps you to download and install Chromium. In addition it offers a background service for updates, a recovery function for user data and you are able to switch between Continuous (stable), Snapshots (unstable) and 64-bit trunks. Following OS and languages are supported:
Windows 8.x, 7, and Vista (x86 or x64) - English, German and Spanish.
- Switch between Continuous, Snapshots and 64-bit trunks.
- Be always up to date by Update Service.
- Set your desired Update Interval.
- Create a backup of your user data.
Worked until one update failed to finish properly, Now I keep getting "Update package damaged" error no matter what I try. Also, even if it fails to update it deletes part of my existing Chromium installation. Very annoying.
Update 12/31/2013: I've used this for over 6 months now, and I'm completely satisfied! There's only two suggestions I have; 1) Allow multiple releases to be installed at the same time, mainly either snapshot or continuous builds alongside 64-bit builds. This would be handy for testing purposes as it'd save me the time of having to choose one or the other and manually update the second install. 2) Use absolute paths for running instances. Since Chromium is locked in its directory now, just detecting running Chromium instances would be beneficial for those who run Google Chrome at the same time and have to close Chrome to update Chromium.
Crupdater is the best! Thanks.
best chromium updater! Switch to x64 Builds (commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-continuous/index.html?path=Win_x64/) as option will be great next to a feature to restore place by/after update the pdf.dll (PDF Viewer Plugin) from Chromium so that this feature is include as well.
