Very difficult, yet I find myself coming back over and over again.

Insanely addictive; a multitude of features; impressively difficult! I've been playing for years and have yet to beat it, but it's been an entertaining ride from day one.

One of the best roguelikes I've ever played.

Dungeon Crawl is fiendishly addictive and loads of fun. There are a lot of Roguelikes out there--many are overly complex and have a huge learning curve, many are ridiculously difficult and lead to frustration, and some are overly simplistic and lead to boredom. Dungeon Crawl is none of these things, it's the perfect balance of all the aspects of ASCII roguelikes. Complex enough to have plenty of replay, difficult enough to provide a challenge, and clear enough to dive right in. Easy to learn, nigh impossible to master. That's why I'm so glad that someone took over Linley's work on the game, Stone Soup takes an already great game to the next level of excellence.

Probably the best roguelike around. Full of features that make playing this style of game much more enjoyable. Read the in-game docs to take full advantage, else you don't know what you're missing.
