I started using Convertigo a few months ago and have found it to be a great way to gather data from an established website and utilize that data on a mobile platform. There is no need to understand the entire back-end of the website, you only need to know how to navigate the website as a user. This cuts the coding of the mobile device down to a few weeks rather than months or more. When PhoneGap and Sencha Touch technologies (which are packaged with Convertigo) are used, the simplicity of developing mobile applications with Convertigo really shines.
I've only recently started working on mobile development. Convertigo makes developing mash-ups for mobile simple and effective. With Convertigo I am able to easily pull very specific web content together, filtering out all the noise I was trying to avoid, and stylishly publish the results to mobile devices. Bravo!
Convertigo is great. I was able to use Convertigo to provide a mobile tracking solution to a software process that took a while to complete.
I have been using Convertigo since past 5-6 months. I did not know about this tool in school and started working with it by doing some sample projects. Making mobile apps is pretty easy and fun using the package provided by Convertigo and the integrated SenchaTouch framework and PhoneGap to package the app for different Mobile OS versions. All in all, Convertigo is a great tool and has a great potential to be used with various other platforms (like Java, Flex, etc.)
