Thank you "gehstock" for your update.I used your file u uploaded. It is perfect, except that the compiler points to a file supposed to be for version XE6.

I have used this component for years. I have been forced to update to Delphi XE7 and had trouble installing the forked version listed by GehStock. Once I deleted the block of Text that is there before the word Unit, it all installed. However it keeps crashing when I invoke the showSetupDialog. Anyone help or been through the same problems

I found these components very easy to implement and use. Within 30 minutes I was "talking" to the RS232 device. Thanks for all the hard work
