Hi,
While running the Run_Support program with valid login details (trial version), I am getting the error message "Contacting Compiere Support .." in the bottom side panel, and no progress after that. Could anyone help me to resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for the replay, my experiences are the same so far. From what I found out, there is no command line installation option in Compiere community edition at the moment. In release notes of Professional edition 3.5 there is added instruction for silent installation.
By the way, for Adempiere installation without GUI is available and works fine with the Ubuntu server.

having just installed Compiere on a headless dedicated server running Debian, I can say this - you can, using ssh -X hostname. It is the preferred way to display remote X-based application from a remote host. It still requires though that you install X11 + KDE/GNOME etc on the remote host. You may also install vnc4server and achieve the same while compromising on security. I did not...

it is the very requirement of any solid ERP system. Once it is posted, you cannot modify/delete it. You may change not-so-important data like order reference, payment terms, due dates - but definitely not transaction date, amounts, accounts etc.

Hi,
I think you do not need Compiere to do this for you. I believe what you need is something that most fax-to-email services provide - somebody sends you a fax to a regular fax number but instead of having it printed by the fax machine it comes to a designated email address as a PDF file. Then you can attach it to any document entry in Compiere as attachment.

I had this same problem when I had standard and professional. What I did was run the migrate script in the database in addition to the file installation. That seemed to help. Make sure the web server is stopped first. This is not the official solution so if someone else has a better method, I'd like to know as well.

Hi,
I executed RUN_Support.bat with valid user and password, I got the licence for Standard and Professional Edition.
Started the server using RUN_server2.bat and clicked on "Compiere Web Application Login (Requires Compiere Professional Edition)" link in the browser.
No web login screen displayed. Page just refreshed.
Any help on this ?.

Under the Business Partner window, there is a bank account tab that allows you to store credit card information for a business partner. I tested this and the credit card numbers are not saved in the database encrypted. Isn't this a huge no no? has anyone else run into this and have a solution?
