The Clico project has just started with a very ealy release that demonstrates some of the ideas and phylosophy for this container. The goal is to create a client container for GUI applications, that is just like today you can use a J2EE container to build complex server-side applications which leverage the container services, Clico will enable you to write better Swing and SWT applications. The main design objectives is simplicity for the developer, so for this goal Java 5 annotations are used. You will be able to develop Swing applications in a manner very similar (at least in spirit) to EJB 3. Try out the demo and have a look to the source code, in particular the demo code, and help me by providing feedback and first impressions. Ludovic
