Check Register is a project to allow you to keep track of all your checkbook transactions on your own computer. Check Register is available only for Mac OS X. It has many features that rival larger apps like Quicken, and best of all, it's free software!

Yep, version 0.2 was released, re-written from scratch, including several new features. You now have the ability to search the entire database with iTunes-style searching. Many other improvements have been added, for more information, please see the changelog for the 'Check Register' release 0.2. The Check Register project website was also released, thought it's not complete in terms of content.

Changes in Check Register 0.2: - Rewritten from scratch! - New features include: A drawer for editing extra all the extra details available in records. - Each entry in the database now features the following fields: date, description, amount, check number (optional), notes, and a non-functional group field. - Search all records, (works just like iTunes, Mail, etc.) - Saves the database to the Application Supper folder in your home directory ...meaning: each user can have his/her own check database, which won't interfere with other users'. - Check Register now confirms it when you try to delete a record, and it even shows which records it's deleting.
