What's happening?

  • can't access menu extra

I'm trying to run version 3.0.3 on a Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X 10.5.5. When Change Desktop launches, the desktop pic DOES change, and the menu extra appears along with the license agreement. As long as I don't touch the License Agreement, I can at least access the menu extra and see the options, but selecting any of the options (e.g. preferences) doesn't seem to do anything. Once I agree to...

  • Comment: Cannot add sources??? V 3.0.2

Another update: The new collections I create never show up in the "Collections:" pop-up menu. Only your "Default" So even though the collection ATDA never vanishes (only the images) the collection itself does not get added to the pop-up menu, I'm using an Intel MacBook Pro with 10.5.5 qb.

  • Comment: Cannot add sources??? V 3.0.2

Update - I don't even need to close the Preference pane - simply click on some other item like "Main Display" then click back onto my collection and it will be empty. Then if I click "Sources" I can briefly see the thumbnails but then they dissolve away. qb.

  • Cannot add sources??? V 3.0.2

I cannot seem to get my added sources to "stick" - for example I create a new collection called "Apple Think Different Ads" then I can add 17 images to the collection. The thumbnails all get created. But then if I close the Preferences and reopen them - the ATDA collection is empty - 0 images... I've deleted all the preference files I can find and the com.apple.desktop.plist as well. I...

  • Comment: Desktop pic is not updated

I had this happen a few days after moving to 10.5.1. Turns out to be a deleted Apple Preference in my case. I deleted the following from my ~/Library/Preferences and restarted to clear the problem. com.apple.desktop.plist com.apple.preference.desktopscreeneffect.plist.

  • remote server gets confused

running 10.5.1 and CD 2.5.1 This could be operator error, as setup on a remote computer isn't really clear, at least to me[should the remote computer have the server running, or not?] But, even if the path to the host is correct in CD on the remote, the remote will use the default path, even if it is not defined, and will do it when starting because it won't auto mount the host. Or at...

  • Desktop pic is not updated

I'm running Leopard 10.5.1. The app seems to be running, since it recognizes the number of pics available I've configured for it to use. However pics are not changing at all, though I've set it to change on startup, wake and with iTunes. The Console Log correctly reports the pic change when I manually click on the "Change Now" button.

  • app crashes

2.5.1 wouldn't stay up- kept dumping, but a fresh copy is A-OK. Dunno why and didn't copy the logs, dammit- but have done some system stuff that could be it. Just wanted to be on record. I love this damn thing. By changing my desktop every 20 minutes it reminds me to get up from the chair and move around.

  • Different search folder for each monitor

It would be nice if the search directories could be monitor specific, like the Apple built-in desktop is. I have 2 monitors with different resolutions (wide and normal). I also have 2 directories with corresponding images. Right now, if I select both folders, they are both mixed between both monitors.
