CGM# allows easy reading and writing of CGM (Computer Graphics Metafiles) files from .net applications. The project aims to eliminate the cost and complexity of dealing with CGM 4, WebCGM and other common profiles of CGM.

If you are a c# developer or CGM expert, I would be interesting in your ideas and help in the project. There are still many design decisions to be made, and much code to be implemented. Also, if you are a CGM user, with information that could help make the library more useful, please feel free to post or contact me.
This morning I've checked in some of the first files for the CGM# project. The code includes just basic binary CGM parsing functionality, wherein all records can be read and identified by class and ID. Also, writing the records back out in the appropriate binary structure is working. I've tested this binary logic by reading in all the files of the NIST CGM test suite and writing them back out. A visual inspection via a CGM viewer shows all the files look correct.
