actually the way to detect whether is compatible or not is by sending
AT+CSMS=0
(PS: if you know about Telephony AT Command)
This string is to query whether or not your phone (modem) supports SMS functions. I might be wrong about this!!
I really need someone who can help me test, so I could improve the program.
Please let me know if you are interested in helping me. (just run a program to determine ur specific phone settings)
