CDriveBack backs up partitions for Novice End Users. If the user boots the Live-CD, waits for it to settle, then hits enter, their C: Drive will be backed up. There are also advanced options.

Detritus, a companion project that describes and helps you eliminate useless files on Windows, is now on sourceforge. Backups are quicker if you can first get rid of a few hundred meg of tmps, baks, caches, . . .
Release 1.01 ha one addition and bug fixes. The bug fixes are documentation except when a full restore was requested and the backup area had no differential files, diff files, the diff files were asked for. Repaired 2/11/07 The addition is a optional "force" setting for allowing the mounts of dirty NTFS disks. CDriveBack does not automatically mount questionable disks. "Force" is required as clean NTFS disks are frequently marked dirty as a convenience for launching the Microsoft chkdsk utility at boot time.
