the problem turned out to be an issue with a newer version of oggenc being more strict about how it's called. this has been fixed in 3.1 which was released this month.

interesting. i've NEVER see this before! and i've ripped about 650+ cds with 3.0 and the only bug i've come across was a $ in a track title.
i'll take a look at this asap, sorry for not noticing your bug report earlier, it's my first =].

Using cd2ogg version 3.0 (downloaded just now), Ubuntu 7.04
I'm using the command "cd2ogg -e".
When it comes time for the oggenc step, the error message "ERROR: Multiple input files with specified output filename; suggest using -n" is output, as shown in the clipped messages at the bottom. I think the problem lies in quoting the comment on the oggenc line. I added...
