catty is a small utility to write+read to+from a serial tty device. You can use it in scripts, or directly writing some text to its stdin. With catty you can add in a few seconds serial communication to your shell scripts.

added some little improvement to compile under cygwin. Use in the same way, connecting to /dev/ttyS0, /dev/ttyS1, ... have fun.
i compiled successfully catty in cygwin, I only needed to comment out the baudrates greather than 230400. OK, the tests are working well, also in cygwin. I'll release in a few minutes a version able to compile under cygwin.
