It's the best screen caster that I have used so far. The recordings come out very well and the convert to SWF functionality is great. Sadly, it measures time in seconds instead of minutes and seconds so you have to do math while your recording sometimes.

I am pleased that this recorder works well for most people. For me it has been one long run of attempted fixes. On my Windows7 system I get it to run well once or twice before I begin to have problems of one type or another. I've spent hours fidgeting with it turning this on/off, reconfiguring my video and sound settings, etc etc. When it runs it is GOOD. But when it doesn't it is BAD. My system has crashed twice. Believe me, I am not a beginner. At this point I've decided to move on to another program. My recommendation: Try it. It seems like a good program IF your system pleases it. Mine doesn't. I will leave it installed and give myself some time to get past my frustrations with it. I'll try again later.

Good project! Thank.

It's great for what it's designed for (showing stuff in low-graphics environments), but I wouldn't really recommend using it to record Portal videos (which is what I did, and it didn't come out all that well). The Portal video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKUZdrGs6to

Sadly, it measures time in seconds instead of minutes and seconds so you have to do math while your recording sometimes. My big buff with it is that the "Record from speakers..." functionality has never worked for me due to "driver incompatibilities". This is the third computer in which it has not been compatible. It would also be nice if there was a version for Linux so that I would not have to use coLinux and VirtualBox so often.

Excellent program for screen capturing! I use it often and apart from some issues, it works very well. Keep it up, can't wait for new versions

Fantastic video screen capturing software! However, my Laptop display is a fullHD 1920 x 1080. When toggling full screen under the 'Region' setting it crops to the top left corner missing about 1/3 of the entire screen. The Solution is to select 'Window' under the 'Region' drop down menu. When it ask you which window you would like to use *click* your desktop background. This resolves the cropping and it captures the entire screen.

I personally use Camtica, I think it is one of the best screen recording software. Check it out: http://jiteco.com/screen_recorder_software.html
