  • I have been using CAELinux 2018 for more than a year now. I found it very rugged, very versatle (it can even run from USB!) and very useful. I experienced no problem in downloading, installing (first on USB and then on hard disk), and running. It never failed. I am an electrical engineer and wished that a good circuit simulation software be also included in its next versions. I also wished to see OpenModelica included in it which has been included in CAELinux 2020. At last 'wine' may also be considered so that many free Windows applications can also be run on it. -- Shesh nath Singh
  • is well done but has very few applications dedicated to electronic engineering
  • its a great project and for new users like me you shoude shutdown the autoupgrade i found that when upgrade to the newest unbunt14.0 the terminals in caelinux will be broken
  • CAELinux a pleasant breeze in the CAD/CAE field, where engineers are forced to burn their money for expensive licenses. This Linux distro is a collection of reliable tools that need knowledge and skills, not money, to get your tasks done. - IMPORTANT: As soon as you install CAE_Linux at your machine's harddisk/usb whatever, DON'T forget to install the Hardware Enablement Stack for Ubuntu 12.04 by issuing following command: ' sudo apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-lts-saucy xserver-xorg-lts-saucy libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-saucy ' - This command will install the latest hardware drivers and latest kernel automatically.

  • hi MeNoTu =Caelinux menosoft.users.sourceforge.net Caelinux is excellent
  • The best worth work to contribute to the dissemination of open-source CAE tools. Excellent!
  • Excellent, it even works on the Amazon EC2 cloud ! I would love if it had more updates. Thanks for this great compilation of computational fluid dynamics and finite element open source packages.
