it so far as I can tell cant play audio files and when i start it and my windows media player the sound quallity on the player goes down and my mic is consently on no push to talk option

Excellent program. I DJ on Second Life and have never experienced any issues. I made the switch after noticing Shoutcast was eating up a bit too much processor power. In addition, the automatic record function on BUTT works like a charm. I record every mix in WAV w/out affecting the stream. Try this app! The below post is an idiot as he doesn't realize the purpose behind this most excellent program.

Butt just worked on Linux when everything else cannot do line in :) Is there anyway to get AAC+ going? Nero have linux binaries of their AAC codec freely available - http://www.nero.com/eng/release-notes-nerodigital-nero-aac-codec.html ? ;)
