Thank you for your work.

This is a great tool for solving burr puzzles. Although I had instructions for assembly my burr puzzle, they made absolutely no sense - as though the order had purposely been mixed up. So with frustration I was considering using the puzzle for firewood, until I read about this tool. In under 2 hours I was able to solve an 18 piece burr puzzle. Note: There were a couple of issues installing the program (0.6.2) on Ubuntu 10.4 but I've since made some amendments to the autoconf/automake scripts. I hope to post them upstream in the next couple of days.

An essential tool for all people interested in high level burrs -- as myself! Easy to use program and interface to solve puzzles, reasearch them and also for designing.

I learned of Soma more than 50 years ago. Building and solving Soma is a great exercise for learning how to use this tool. The interface is somewhat different than classic Windows, but is not hard to figure out. The possibilities for creating new and challenging puzzles is unlimited. This project is neat and works well.
