Windows strategy game, based on the BrikWars wargame (www.brikwars.com). Players build custom toy armies and maps from building blocks, and then battle the computer or other players. See our Wiki at http://brikwars.wiki.sourceforge.net for more details.

1.2.2.2 - 5 Feb 2009 Further graphical improvements: * Terrain is now smoothed, and supports bump maps & alpha * Reflections can now be enabled in Battles, though this is only really worth it if you have plenty of water around * Additional terrain textures * Additional scenario prop & minfig models * Additional library parts & construct models (credit: David Parkin) * Additional sounds. Each weapon now has it's own sound defined in the XML files. * Fixed issue with placement of GUI menus after changing graphics resolution - they now reset automatically and you do not need to restart BrikWars 1.2.2.1 - 29 Jan 2009 General graphical improvements: * Add more minifig and construct models. * Model shader now supports self-shadowing & bump mapping (but with some glitches on nvidia GTX). * LDXNA now calculates normal, binormal and tangent info as well as texture uv coords and stores these in the model * Add reflections & background in minifig & construct editor windows. * Alpha channels on menu frames & colors in battle selection window 1.2.2.0 - 23 Jan 2009 * Fix rendering of most quads. This improves rendering of many ldraw models that previously had gaps. * Change keyboard controls for battles, to make it easier to select the correct unit. Now after unit & target is selected, use E for enter/exit and X for attack. * Implement improved random number generator. * More changes to constructs: 1) Handling general structure level damage - damage now affects movement & max weapon size 2) Handling targetting and damage of individual components *) Add ability to target and damage individual bricks with -2 SL, and appropriate size modifiers applied. Damage does half normal damage, plus disables the selected component. *) Add ability to label certain bricks as weapons/propulsion/armour subsystems. You'd need 1 brick per level in each. That way you can target individual bricks to reduce each component one level at a time. 3) AI will now use constructs in a limited way. * Scenario files are backwards compatible, but army files are not (due to change in construct components) 1.2.1.0 - 15 Jan 2009 Various patches for construct combat & a few other fixes. 1) Limit constructs to SL3 for the time being. 2) Add size & aim modifiers for general damage, to make constructs easier to hit. 3) Add "combined attack" so that multiple units can attack together, which will help balance out the stronger armours. 4) Give any minifig the same armour as the construct (currently it's too easy to hit) 1.2.0.1 - 11 Jan 2009 Added support for constructs. These are creations such as vehicles which can be added to your army. Minifigs can enter/exit vehicles to pilot them. Army files are not backwards compatible, but scenario files are. This release no longer uses the Microsoft installer, as several users complained that the install couldnt find files after installation. 1.1.0.2 - 4 Jan 2009 Performance patch for 1.1.0.1, with terrain rendering peformance increase by 3-4x. 1.1.0.1 - 2 Jan 2009 Added Scenario Editor, with ability to edit your own terrain, add props etc. Scenario files are not backwards compatible, but army files are. 1.0.1.0 - 25 Dec 2008 Minor graphics update. Adds support for vertex colored models, new shader & ability to set screen resolution. BWA (army) files are not backwards-compatible with previous releases. 1.0.0.1 - 21 Dec 2008 First public release. Support for Single player & Multiplayer with customised armies.

BrikWars is a strategy game where players can build custom toy armies from building blocks, and then battle against the computer or other players across a network. Version 1.2.2.1 released today contains a number of graphics enhancements: * Added many more minifig, weapons and construct models * Much improved model shader that displays 3D models with smooth shading, self-shadowing and bump mapping * Expanded default terrain and army files * Improved look and feel of text boxes * Added reflections and background to minifig and construct editors. Scenario and Army files are backwards compatible with the previous version. Custom models will need to be re-imported with Model Utility.
