Thanks for making this release; I've downloaded it and let you know how things go. I agree that freeing up memory by not defining CONF_ASCII is a good idea. I didn't realize I used cputs() so often; I've got a bit cleanup work ahead of me. ;-)
One little thing that I noticed right away is that the code won't build on cygwin without a change to bibo/lib/c/Makefile.sub. There is a check for...
