* refactored project structure: The python module is now called "brickit". The django app is renamed to "registry". Folders have been created for custom html templates, template tags, etc. * refactored data model: Cells are no longer Biobricks, Biobrick formats are associated to vectors rather than the Biobrick itself, Physical DNA has been reduced to a minimal record hidden from the user, and more. * support for composite Biobricks: Composite Biobricks can be entered into the normal Biobrick form and are internally stored as "chains" of basic Biobricks. * support for sequencing data: Sequencing analysis and trace files can be associated to samples (any volunteers to implement automatic analysis?). * improved editing forms, in particular, for Samples. * new views for Biobricks, Vectors, etc: Customized views look nicer and add links between Biobricks, Samples, Vectors, Formats, etc. * new web interface layout: Users are presented with a cleaned up Brickit entrance and can directly jump to their own Biobricks, Samples, etc. * switch to Django version 1.0
initial release.
