What's happening?

  • Comment: BF menu text unreadable

    Download the latest release. Also, in settings, change the text size to large.

  • BF menu text unreadable

    I have attached a screen shot (PNG) The text in BF is totally unreadable, tiny beyond use. I attempted both the stable and dev versions, both look the same: it is just unusable. There must be a simple fix for this, please guide me to the answer.

    Should be fixed now - this was a font problem in an older build.

  • Comment: Execute a command before updating

    I thought about a simple text-field in the Feed-Properties|Settings menu, under the "Display Title"? In this field you enter the path to a program (/bin/bash, C:\cygwin\cygwin.exe, etc.) and additionally some parameters (like /bin/bash ~/foo.sh).

    I would like to be able to execute a script/command (something like "python foo.exe") before a feed is updated. This could be implemented either by running a script before each update cycle, or by adding a new field for every feed: command to execute. Why? Because some sites don't offer RSS/Atom-feeds...by simply running a script before updating a feed I could let my script generate an...

  • can't run bf on win xp sp 1

    I've tried both of the InstallBottomFeeder.exe on http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/BottomFeeder/downloads.html but none of them gets the program running. I can install them without a problem but when I click on the bottomFeeder.exe it just creates an error.log but no start screen although the bf.exe appears in the task manager. So, what's the trouble with bf that it doesn't like to run on...
