  • Basilisk 2.1 released (JDK 5.0)

Added support for JDK 5.0 and small additions like the ResolutionManager. Now Basilisk is JDK 5.0 compliant, some minor fixes (like the new handling of BufferedImages) are still under investigation to ensure maximum advantage on every platform.

  • Next release when JDK 5.0 is done

At zerosoft we have decided to hold Basilisk since JDK 5.0 is done, this mostly to not work on features that will have to be retested once Tiger is out.

  • 2.0.1 and no more CVS

Sorry but CVS is really hairy with Java and subdirectories, and at the moment I've no time to work around its limitations. I hope Subversion will be in Sourceforge ASAP! The new releases will include docs and sources in just one package.

  • basilisk Basilisk 2.0.1 file released: basilisk-2.0.1.zip

VERSION 2.0.1 - 2004.Jun.23 * Added the disclaimer about Artistic License to the sources * Fixed a stupid bug (typo) I've introduced by mistake when cleaning the code that was preventing ImageLoader to compile. VERSION 2.0 - 2004.Jun.16 * Renamed some packages: graphics -> gfx2D, graphics3D -> gfx3D * Added a SequencePlayer, a revised sequencer-based sound player. Now it can handle also .rmf files. * Added GfxCanvas, GfxFrame and JGfxFrame to manage fullscreen and windowed/applet accelerated mode. They respectively descend from Canvas (AWT), Frame (AWT) and JFrame (Swing). These are the only 3 classes that allows switching from an to Fullscreen Exclusive mode. * Added LoopOnceAnimation an Animation that loops towards the frame exactly once. * Added LoopingAnimation an Animation that endlessy loops towards frames. * Animation is abstract now. You must use an implementation to get sprites working (useful to program different types of animations). * Minor fixes and updates to the other classes. VERSION 2.0 RC2 - 2004.Apr.26 * Commented (for javadoc) all the classes on math3d * Added the TrigTable-aware classes to Math3D (I forgot to add them yesterday, doh!) * Removed org.zerosoft.basilisk.util.MatrixLoader (It was superseded by org.zerosoft.basilisk.loaders.ImageLoader)

  • 2.0 docs online

I've javadoc-ed and put on the file release system the documentation for version 2.0. It's pretty bare but can get you started.
