• New Features In Development

  At the suggestion of a user, I am attempting to modify the program to work with screen reading software to aid the visually impaired. Currently I cannot continue without the assistance of the authors of a screen reading package, as I do not know how to tell their application to read my text. Contact information for a willing screen reader developer would be greatly appreciated if anyone has them.

  * Rewrote all the detection code since alpha1 * Restructured the detection code since alpha2 * Isolated and fixed a number of bugs * Altered the code to superimpose status information over the image * Fixed several memory leaks and overflow issues * Ported code/project files to MS Visual Studio, allowing for much better debugging and testing

• barcr-reader alpha2 file released: barcr-alpha2-bin.zip

  Crashing has hopefully been fixed. The display now shows you what portion of the barcode it can read in order to help you see when you're getting close. This version will also validate the barcode checksum.
