BackupCleaner is a Java-based command-line tool for automatically removing old backups selectively. It can be used when you already make daily backups on disk, and want to clean them up while still keeping some of the ones made weeks, months or years ago. After years of internal use this is the first Open Source release. It is fully functional (but may have some rough edges here and there). Feedback appreciated.
