Both my test XMI (posted above) and my actual model XMI are working fine with the changes you made. The null pointer exception isn't being thrown and the code generation works as expected.

The team here at Entessa have noticed problems with the "kind" not being set consistently in ArgoUML (were using version 0.24). Sometimes, if you change the parameters kind to something else, save it, and then change it back, then the kind gets set correctly in the XMI. At other times we've found that this workaround doesn't seem to work. I suspect this is a defect in ArgoUML and not Axgen. Your change to check whether the kind is null works OK. I guess if the kind is not set on a return parameter, then the code gen might not behave as expected, but there isn't really anything on the Axgen side you can do to fix this ... the user has to fix their model.

    Thanks for the help,

    Jason
