woody1950, when does it fail? I have had no problems so far, and I have tagged a lot of MP4 files.

Very useful app, but not actively supported. Several longstanding bugs. Fails about 25% of the time due to bugs. Unfortunately, this is the only Linux command-line tool to manipulate mp4 tags.

command line tool is excellent for scripting, automation or batch operation. this isn't for the kids, this for the adults.

The command line client is useful for a small collection, but unwieldy for a large one.
