There is a fltk based 3D graphing component named "contour" which provides excellent support for plotting 3D graphs on top of terrain (see screenshots):

an instructor station would not just need a way to trigger actions inside a flightclear client, but also a way to show (or even graphically plot) values on the instructor's station, such as for example altitude, airspeed, heading, course etc.
Something like this could probably also be based on an XML file format, so that arbitrary values can be retrieved from the property tree in FG and...
