I interupted the text search in doc files and it seems that something is wrong now with Normal.dotm. It opened Microsoft word when I double clicked on a file.
Changes have been made that effect the global template, Normal.dotm. Do you want to save those changes?
Can't do anything. No opens the file again. Yes overwrites Normal.dotm.

Would it be possible to configure Open Directory?
I use total commander and not windows explorer :-)
Maybe two more little feature: word wrap in viewer and update checker.
Well, I stop write suggestions because you may think I don't like the software ;)

This is a very good search software with beautiful Search options, very clear interface. Very nice: "context lines", "RE", "line numbers", subfolders, negations.
Very very nice!!
When I did a search within doc files I had to interrupt it.
It was very very slow. One doc file 10-20 seconds and I have a few hundred .doc files.
Do you know why?
I miss also .pdf...

Assume I want to search for all files whose filename match the pattern
*2009*.log
regardless what the files contain.
This is currently NOT possible with AstroGrep 4.1.4!
I have to enter at least ONE character in the "Search text" entry field.
This is bad.
As far as I understand there will be a new version released.
Will this restriction be removed?
