I honestly do not remember the channel numbering I used, except for I started from the beginning. If you tested DVD, it is not surprising you got silence. The real test will be playing an audio CD. Even WAV files may be problematic under some conditions.

May be it is a matter of where you start counting. You could start counting in 0 instead of 1. You could release a test built with that channel number changed. That way may be it works on all ASIO devices. > You are more then welcome to download > the source code of this plugin and > build a Debug version. You are more then welcome to download the source code of this plugin and build a Debug version. You will need to get ASIO SDK from Steinberg, but that's about it. If you study the source code, you will find a place to put a breakpoint and check what actually is going on. By the way, another reason WMP may be silent if you opened plug-in property page. If you've done so, you'll need to...

Also you could send me a special version or the modified source code. But I understand if you have no time. BTW: is it very difficult to make it compatible with AC3 streams in AVI also? Regards.

In Foobar2000 I have channel number 0. But it works with any even number. In the DIGI96 control panel that thing can't be mapped. Regards.

I also suspected a channel mapping problem. I see absolutely no need to add a channel mapping UI into the plugin, as it was done in Foobar2000. The plugin always plays left channel through ASIO channel 1 and right channel through ASIO channel 2. It is up to the mixer to map those channels to the right hardware. What do you have for ASIO channel numbers in Foobar2000 and in the mixer?.

I already tried that. In fact the RME drivers and the Foobar2000 otachan ASIO output plugin are very stable. I guess it could be a problem with the channel number. I get the same scenario when I set in Foobar 2000 ASIO output configuration "Shift output channels" to an odd number. Could you add a text box to configure that parameter into the plugin properties? Thanks.

Try the following: 1) Close ALL programs except for RME Mixer. 2) Play an audio CD in Foobar2000. Some of the sliders should move, indicating active ASIO connection. 3) Close Foobar2000, check in Task Manager that it is indeed closed and there is no other audio application excelp for the Mixer. 4) Start WMP, check that Tools/Plugins/ ASIOWmpPlg is CHECKED. 5) Try to play Audio CD. If...

Try to play the same files with Foobar2000 configured for ASIO output. If that does not work, the problem is with your ASIO channel configuration. Drop me another note if Foobar2000 plays, we'll try something else. Cheers - Lev.
