Description
Ario is a GTK2 client for MPD (Music player daemon). The interface used to browse the library is inspired by Rhythmbox but Ario aims to be much lighter and faster.

Ario is an absolutetly wonderful GTK+-Client for MPD. Features Lyrics, Wikipedia, Album-Arts, last.fm, GTK- and Multimedia-Hotkeys, Dynamic Playlists, libnotify-Notifications and much more. If you want more features and don't fear compiling your own code (which is really simple!) I reccomend to use the SVG-Version. With his maintainer Marc Pavot this project has a really active developer. This means from own experiences (plural!): If you encounter a missbehavior or small bug in the up-to-date-SVN-Version you should post it immediately here and most-likely it will be fixed within days! Thank's for that work! !! And remember: This mpd-client is not written in slow Java !!
