Stendhal is a multiplayer online adventures game (MORPG) developed using the Arianne game development system.
Stendhal features a huge, rich and expanding world in which you can explore towns, buildings, plains, caves and dungeons. You will meet hundreds of NPCs and acquire tasks and quests for valuable experience and cold hard cash. You can interact with other players by forming expedition groups, trading, or just chatting - and compare yourself to your buddies on the Hall of Fame.
Stendhal is totally platform independent, written using Java 1.5 and the Java2D environment. The main game server has a website at http://stendhalgame.org.
If you want to play the Stendhal, you need the Stendhal client, which is the stendhal-0.99.zip file.
Then unzip the client zip into a new folder.
You can double click on stendhal-starter.jar and the client will run.
If you prefer to run from command line, then just execute this command in the stendhal folder:
There is a manual at http://stendhalgame.org/wiki/Stendhal_Manual, and there is Help from the client main menu too.
