Arianne RPG has been active since 1999 and now consists of several subprojects. Marauroa, a game engine, and Stendhal, a MORPG, are currently actively developed. For an overview of Arianne's development in 2010, see http://stendhalgame.org/wiki/Review_Of_2010.

Stendhal

A MORPG playable on all platforms, written using Java 1.5 and the Java2D environment. The main game server has a website at http://stendhalgame.org.

Please download the latest version following the main link above or use http://arianne.sourceforge.net/download/stendhal-FULL.zip.

Marauroa

Arianne's Multiplayer Online Engine, that you can use to build your own online games using Marauroa for object management, database persistence and perception based client-server communication.

For more information, instructions, tutorials and Developers API please see http://stendhalgame.org/wiki/Marauroa.

Other projects

Marboard is an early prototype of an easy to use vector graphics program allowing live collaboration over the Internet, using Marauroa as the engine. See http://stendhalgame.org/wiki/Marboard.

JMaPacman is a clone of the old Arcade Game Pacman, written in Java 1.5 and Java2D. It has different zones, so one can hide from ghosts by moving to another zone. Other features included superdots, powerpills and fruits. See http://stendhalgame.org/wiki/JMaPacman.
