aria2 is a multi-protocol & multi-source, cross platform download utility. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, Metalink. It can download a file from multiple sources/protocols and tries to utilize your maximum download bandwidth.

    simply the best, and also author is responsive, perfect support. This is exactly what I was looking for, thats why I am supporting this by small donation!

    Best downloader! Many download protocols, plenty of features. The coolest thing is this is command line application with rpc control. If X or GUI crashes it keeps downloading.
