User Guide

This add-in aims at extending the raster editing function of ArcMap 10.x. With the new Raster Editor toolbar, users are able to edit the raster layer simply by click-and-edit, just like what we can do with the feature layer. It is very suitable for minor modification of raster layers.

If you have any suggestions or comments, write it down or send me an email to (replace # with @).

There is a bug about the SaveAs function. To protect your work, the safest way now is to save edits as a TIFF file first and convert the file format to what you want using ArcMap. (see detail at wiki)

I must really give thanks to the programmer behind this tool. This is a functionality that has been sorely lacking from ArcGIS for many years, and has been frequently requested. It is such a basic, obvious functionality that it not being a built-in feature puzzles many. Although quite a simple add-in, it can save much frustration and possibly hours of work just to adjust/correct minor issues with raster layers. I'm very excited to see someone tackle this need in the GIS community!
