A version of Amplicon that has been run on SuSE linux 9.1 and Knoppix is now available. Tkinter is not as cross-platorm as it could be, so the fonts and some GUI settings have been changed from the Windows version. Future versions may need to be re-written for wxPython.
Fonts fixed for Linux version of Tkinter Unix-style line endings recognised in .aln formats (thanks to Nell Gwyn)
